Attention all community members! The City Planning Department is proposing text amendments for zoning regulations in the Queens neighborhood of Long Island City. The proposed amendments aim to address economic opportunities in various zoning districts, including commercial and manufacturing areas. They seek to streamline processes for businesses, promote workforce development, encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, support local industries, and enhance the overall economic vitality of the community.
The Department of City Planning is seeking feedback and input from stakeholders to ensure that the proposed amendments align with the needs and goals of the community. To facilitate this, two Town Halls have been scheduled. The City Planning Department will present information about the study areas, research findings, and potential future plans. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, provide feedback, and contribute to the planning process.
